kokum butterKokum Butter

Kokum Butter is rich in essential fatty acids, which are needed for the effective processing of nutrients. Kokum Butter is rich in the antioxidant vitamin E, which is excellent for your skin. By regenerating skin cells, it also supports skin elasticity and general flexibility. Kokum butter was primarily used in India, to soften cracked, rough and calloused skin. It is a product of Kokum Fruit (Garcinia Indica); in India it is known as "Goa butter". When the juice extracted, it is sweet and sour, and can be whipped to produce a creamy white substance. Its so soft!

  • Non-comedogenic (non pore-clogging) substance
  • Quick absorption rate
  • Excellent for sensitive skin

Cocoa Butter

This is one of the most popular ingredients in skincare. The moisturizing properties of cocoa butter are used to treat chapped skin, and as a daily moisturizer to prevent dry, itchy skin. It penetrates through the top layer of skin and keeps the next layers hydrated. The best part of using cocoa butter is that it is completely natural and has its own natural faint aroma.

  • Antioxidant elements in a high concentration of Vitamins A, E and C
  • Supports UV damage control from UV light in the rays of the sun
  • Forms a thin barrier to retain moisture, while allowing skin to breath

Scars & Stretch Marks

Many of our customers use our Skin & Nail Treatment on their stretch marks or scars - this is OK! The reason the treatment works so well is due to the high concentration of shea, kokum and cocoa butter in the Skin & Nail Treatment formulation. By keeping your skin moist, it creates a thin protective coating to allow the skin to heal. For stretch marks specifically, the Skin & Nail Treatment can reduce the appearance, but may not fully remove old stretch marks. This is because prevention is the most important thing!

While old stretch marks may fade over time, as new skin cells form over the stretched tissue - its best to prevent stretch marks from occurring in the first place by ensuring your skin is always moisturized. Pregnant women may use the Skin & Nail Treatment as their stomachs grow. It will soften the skin, so as it begins to stretch and grow, it will not leave stretch marks.
